Rescue Stories: From Shelter to Sofa

Every month we partner with our county shelter to cover adoption fees for senior pets and bonded pairs — the animals most often overlooked. This spring, eleven of those pets found sofas of their own, including a twelve-year-old tabby who now supervises a home office full-time.

Adopting a shelter pet takes a little patience: give them three days to decompress, three weeks to learn your routine, and three months to feel fully home. Stock up on the unglamorous essentials first — food, a quiet bed, a vet visit — and save the toy haul for week two.

Thinking about adoption? Ask us for the shelter's wish list; every bag of food donated through our store goes straight to kennels that need it.
